How OnTheDot Calculates Your Clock-Out Time and Today's Earnings
A clock-out time calculator and a real-time salary counter in one. Here is exactly how the numbers are worked out.
Find Your Hourly Wage
Your monthly take-home pay is divided by this month's working days × daily work hours, or by a fixed 209 hours a month (the Korean statutory standard). Gross salary is first converted to estimated take-home pay, and hourly workers can simply enter their wage.
Earnings per Second
Hourly wage ÷ 3,600 = what you earn each second. At ₩20,500 an hour, that's about ₩5.7 every second.
Today's Earnings = Per-Second Rate × Time Worked
The per-second rate is multiplied by the time you've worked since clock-in, minus lunch and breaks. Past your scheduled clock-out, the optional Overtime 1.5x Booster counts extra time at 150% of your hourly wage.
Clock-Out Time = Clock-In + Work Hours + Lunch
Clock in at 9:00 for an 8-hour day with a 1-hour lunch, and you're due out at 18:00. The countdown shows on a progress gauge and as a percentage, and a reminder lets you know when it's time to go.

Q. How are real-time earnings calculated?
Your monthly take-home pay is divided by this month's working days × daily hours (or a fixed 209 hours a month) to get an hourly wage, then by 3,600 to get earnings per second, which is multiplied by the time you've actually worked.
